Final Key Days for the Spanaway “Village”

Dear Concerned Citizens,
We are so close to the end of this very long journey. THANK YOU to everyone who has run this race and is sprinting to the end with us. SSC is not against the Village concept. Our opposition is all about LOCATION! (And some about the County changing the rules for their own special projects.)
Cutting the old growth forest | Damaging Spanaway Marsh | Polluting the Clover Creek Watershed | Contaminating Spanaway Lake | Traffic Problems Spanaway Loop Road | Roundabout because SLR is too high-traffic for this development | Spanaway Underresourced | Isolating the Homeless from the Community | Trauma from being adjacent to an Active Military Base | Known Active Bear Habitat and more... ALL of these are about LOCATION. The Village needs to be moved to an appropriate location.
HEX "Public Testimony Day" April 29th (& possibly 30th) 9:00am - 7:30pm (notice new ending time!)
Options to have your VOICE HEARD:
ATTEND Showing up matters. (in person or via Zoom)
SPEAK Share your concerns at Sprinker or via Zoom or phone call. (see below)
PRESENT Photos, PowerPoint, Video, Charts, etc, to enhance your testimony. (see *Note)
WRITE Email your concerns.

*Note: If you have special photos or some type of presentation that you want to share during your testimony, you can email it up to and including April 29th. Sandy, the HEX's assistant, plans to have a tracking system so she can pull your photo/presentation up when you come up to testify. If you are submitting something you want to be shown during your public testimony, please make that clear in your email. I am sure Sandy is very busy juggling all of this, so if you can get it in earlier than the 29th, that is helpful. Thumb drives are not allowed.

Meet at the end of 176th where it turns into Spanaway Loop Road.
Please join in protesting from 11:00 to 2:00. They are offering tours at 12:00 & 1:00. There will be hot dog lunches and t-shirts for sale. And of course, a donation box!
